According to police reports, approximately 20 to 25 intoxicated men entered the emergency ward, where they allegedly assaulted a patient. When hospital staff attempted to intervene, they were also attacked. The precise motives behind the violence remain unclear.

Background of the Incident
As reported by the Times of India, the incident occurred late Saturday night when a man named Shankey Kukreja arrived at the hospital accompanied by a group of men. They reportedly assaulted a patient, and when medical professionals tried to intervene, they faced aggression as well. Security guards and ward boys who responded to the incident were also attacked. The assailants subsequently fled the scene using a car and four two-wheelers.
Police Action
Following the incident, emergency medical officer Samridhi Raiwani filed a complaint at the local police station. Based on her report, authorities registered a case against the individuals involved. ASI Rajesh Shah, who is overseeing the investigation, stated that while the reason for the violence remains uncertain, initial information suggests personal animosity. Charges have been filed under the BNS and the Uttarakhand Medicare Service Persons & Institutions (Prevention of Violence & Damage to Property) Act, which includes criminal assault and intimidation. Notably, six security guards and four ward boys were among those assaulted.
