NBEMS Advisories for NEET PG AIQ Counseling 2025
New Delhi: The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued two crucial advisories. One advisory is directed towards candidates who have been allocated NBEMS seats through the NEET PG All India Quota (AIQ) Counseling for the academic year 2025. The second advisory is aimed at NBE-accredited hospitals involved in the admission process managed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
Centralised Merit-Based Counseling Notification
The MCC and DGHS (MoHFW) have notified the online Centralised Merit-Based Counseling for the AIQ seats for the 2025 session. Candidates and NBEMS-accredited hospitals are encouraged to thoroughly review the counseling schedule, information bulletin, counseling scheme, and other notices issued by MCC to ensure compliance.
Instructions for Candidates on Reporting and Joining NBEMS Seats
Updating Reporting/Joining Status on Intra-MCC Portal
Candidates who have been allotted NBEMS seats must verify with their designated hospital that their reporting and joining status is updated on the Intra-MCC portal within the specified timeline. If the hospital fails to update this status, the seat will be considered vacant and moved to the next round of counseling.
Payment of Course Fee
Allotted candidates are required to pay the first-year annual course fee to NBEMS via a designated portal within the joining/reporting window outlined in the MCC schedule. Payments should be made through the official payment gateway using a Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. Candidates opting for NEFT payments should anticipate a reconciliation period of 2–3 working days.
Reporting and Joining Process
Upon successful fee payment, candidates must report to the allocated hospital within the designated timeline, bringing all original documents for verification. They will also undergo a medical examination by the hospital’s Medical Board. Only candidates deemed medically fit will be allowed to proceed with their joining.
Start Date of NBEMS Training
Candidates must join their NBEMS training within the prescribed reporting/joining window for the respective counseling round as published by MCC. No extensions will be granted. For candidates who receive an upgrade, the training period will commence from the date of reporting/joining the upgraded seat. If the seat is not upgraded, the training period will begin when the candidate starts their responsibilities as a resident doctor.
In-Service Doctors’ Requirements
In-service doctors employed by the central government, state government, railways, PSU, ESI, or any other government entity must obtain a no-objection certificate, including study leave, from their parent organization prior to joining the NBEMS course.
Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR)
The NBEMS OPJR portal will be activated after all rounds of NEET PG 2025 counseling are completed. A detailed notice regarding this will be released in due course. This portal will facilitate candidates and hospitals in submitting joining statuses and documentation to NBEMS once all counseling rounds are finalized.
Guidelines for NBEMS-Accredited Hospitals
Verification and Reporting Instructions
Document Verification During Candidate Reporting/Joining
All NBEMS-accredited hospitals are mandated to verify the original documents of candidates at the time of reporting/joining. Hospitals must confirm that candidates meet the eligibility criteria for the allotted seat, as detailed in the information bulletin. A medical examination will also be conducted by the hospital’s Medical Board, allowing only those found medically fit to join the course.
Verification of Annual Course Fee
It is essential for candidates reporting/joining NBEMS seats to pay the first-year annual course fee through the NBEMS designated portal. Hospitals must verify the fee receipt presented by candidates before permitting them to join. Non-submission of the fee will result in the seat being treated as vacant and carried forward to the next counseling round. The reporting/joining status must be updated on the Intra-MCC portal accordingly.
Intra-MCC Portal Updates
NBEMS-accredited hospitals are required to update the reporting/joining status of candidates on the Intra-MCC portal within the timelines set by MCC. Failure to comply will lead to the seat being carried forward to the next round. Hospitals should also review their seat positions before each counseling round to prevent excess allotment.
The OPJR portal will remain inactive for hospitals until all counseling rounds are completed. Hospitals will gain access to the OPJR only after the conclusion of all rounds, and final reporting/joining information for candidates will be submitted through this portal.
Start Date of NBEMS Training for Hospitals
Hospitals must ensure that candidates report/join their NBEMS training within the designated reporting/joining window published by the MCC. No extensions will be allowed. For upgraded candidates, the training period will be recognized from the date of reporting/joining the upgraded seat. If the seat is not upgraded, the training will start from the commencement of PG training when the candidate begins their duties as a resident doctor.
In-Service Doctors’ Compliance for Hospitals
In-service doctors employed with central or state government entities, railways, PSU, ESI, or other government organizations must provide a no-objection certificate, including study leave, at the time of joining the NBEMS course.
