In a significant operation, the Rajkot Rural Special Operation Group (SOG) apprehended a man in Jetpur, Rajkot district, for allegedly providing medical treatment without a valid medical degree. Acting on a tip-off, the SOG executed a surprise raid on a local dispensary, where the suspect was reportedly practicing allopathic medicine.

Details of the Raid

Reports indicate that the accused had been administering treatment using allopathic methods despite lacking the necessary medical qualifications or registration. Authorities stated that the raid was prompted by concerns that he was endangering patient lives. During the operation, police recovered various allopathic medicines, injections, and medical equipment valued at Rs. 51,655 from the dispensary, according to GSTV. The SOG has detained the individual involved, and investigations are underway to uncover the full scope of his malpractice.

Medical supplies and allopathic medicines worth Rs. 14,700 were confiscated during the raid. This arrest followed numerous complaints about the presence of fake doctors in rural areas.

Medic Helpline reported that in a recent initiative against unauthorized medical practices, the LSOJI police detained an eighth-grade pass individual running a bogus clinic from a residential building in Dhalwana village. Following multiple complaints regarding the increase in fake doctors in Surendranagar district, the SOG team initiated a special patrol in Limbdi taluka to address these concerns and ensure public safety.
