Tragic Incident in Faridabad: Doctor Attacked and Robbed
Details of the Attack
In a shocking event, a doctor operating an eye clinic in SGM Nagar, Faridabad, was reportedly attacked with scissors and robbed of Rs 1.10 lakh. So far, police have successfully recovered Rs 70,000 of the stolen amount. Two suspects have been apprehended in relation to this case, identified as Sunil Chaudhary, alias Sonu, and Robin Sharma, alias Ganju, both residents of SGM Nagar.
Timeline of Events
According to reports from TOI, the incident occurred on December 21 while the doctor was at his clinic near Sharma Chowk. The two suspects allegedly entered the clinic and engaged in an argument with the doctor. When the doctor objected to their confrontation, one of the men picked up a pair of scissors from a nearby table and attacked him. Following the assault, the assailants proceeded to steal Rs 1.10 lakh from the clinic’s cash drawer before fleeing the scene.
Legal Actions Taken
After the incident, the doctor lodged a formal complaint against the suspects, resulting in an FIR being registered at the SGM Nagar police station. During the investigation, police discovered that the attack was connected to a property dispute. It was revealed that Sunil’s father had previously sought the doctor’s assistance in selling their home, and the doctor had been providing potential buyers. However, Sunil opposed the sale, leading to escalating tensions between him and the doctor.
Arrest and Custody
The police reported that Sunil initially visited the clinic alone to confront the doctor and later summoned Robin, who joined him in the assault. Robin is accused of using the scissors to attack the doctor, while Sunil is alleged to have taken the cash. Both suspects were presented in court and have been ordered to remain in police custody for two days as the investigation continues.
