Successor to Joanne Pulles

Tenpenny succeeds Joanne Pulles, who is retiring after a distinguished 26-year career with HCA. Pulles also held the position of president of the HCA Healthcare Foundation, which is dedicated to the organization’s philanthropic efforts.

Professional Background

Before joining HCA, Tenpenny served as Chief Social Impact Officer at NationSwell, a community for leaders in corporate, philanthropic, and nonprofit sectors. Her experience also includes executive positions at Goodera and Starbucks, as highlighted on her LinkedIn profile.

HCA Healthcare operates approximately 190 hospitals and 2,500 ambulatory care sites across 20 states and the United Kingdom.
