Dr. Ramanan serves as a Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology at Apollo Cancer Centre in Chennai. He possesses extensive experience in treating various types of cancers, including breast cancer, soft tissue sarcomas, bone sarcomas, and liquid tumors. Additionally, he acts as a mentor for postgraduate students in medical oncology.
Dr. Ramanan is one of the Directors of the Madras Cancer Care Foundation and a Founder Trustee of both the Cancer Research and Relief Trust and the Cancare Foundation. His expertise is well-documented, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, both nationally and internationally, and he has received various awards recognizing his contributions to the field.
Educational Qualifications
He holds an MBBS and an MD in General Medicine, along with a DM in Medical Oncology. Dr. Ramanan has also obtained a certification in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) from the University Medical Centre and ESMO. He is a Member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (MRCP) and has served as faculty for the DNB Oncology program at Apollo Cancer Centre.
