Mohali experienced a tragic event on Friday evening when Dr. Gagandeep Singh, a motorcycle-riding doctor, was killed after being struck by a speeding car near Doon School in Sector 69. The driver of the car fled the scene immediately, leading to a police investigation and the filing of a case.

Reports indicate that the incident occurred around 8 PM when Dr. Singh, a resident of Sector 71, was riding his motorcycle towards Sector 79. His brother was trailing him on a separate motorcycle. As they approached Doon School, an allegedly speeding Alto car collided with Dr. Singh from behind, resulting in serious injuries. He was quickly transported to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.

Police Investigation

Following the incident, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Police officials are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to identify both the driver and the car involved in the accident. After the post-mortem, authorities returned Dr. Singh’s body to his family. The police station in charge has assured the family that the driver will be apprehended soon.
