According to law enforcement officials, the incident transpired when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then crashed into three to four parked cars along the roadside on Wednesday morning. The driver, identified as Dr. Sanjay Bendale, has been detained by the Khadakpada police in connection with the crash.

The collision’s force was significant, resulting in extensive damage to nearby two-wheelers. Local residents promptly arrived at the scene to aid the victims and transported them to a nearby hospital. Among the injured, two individuals have sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a private healthcare facility.

In a separate incident, Medic Helpline reported that a 63-year-old doctor was detained after his vehicle allegedly struck and killed a woman professor on a two-wheeler near Porur. This accident occurred on Mount Poonamallee Road, where the car reportedly lost control while trailing the two-wheeler. The driver, who resides in Valasaravakkam and is employed at a private hospital in Velappanchavadi, was apprehended by police following the event.
