In a distressing event, a female house surgeon from the 2020 batch at Government General Hospital (GGH), Siddipet, allegedly took her own life by injecting herself with approximately 10–15 ml of paraquat. Reports circulating on social media suggest that the doctor was experiencing significant stress due to her preparations for the NEET-PG exam alongside her internship responsibilities at the hospital. Ultimately, she was referred to NIMS in Hyderabad but was declared dead around 1:30 am on January 4, 2025. Her body has since been sent to Gandhi General Hospital for a postmortem examination.
