In a distressing event, a female house surgeon from the 2020 batch at Government General Hospital (GGH), Siddipet, allegedly took her own life by injecting herself with approximately 10–15 ml of paraquat. Ultimately, she was referred to NIMS in Hyderabad but was declared dead around 1:30 am on January 4, 2025. Her body has since been sent to Gandhi General Hospital for a postmortem examination.
